About This Role
As COO, you will oversee all operational aspects of FreshLab's EU expansion, including production scaling through the SmartStart Italy program, supply chain localization, and commercial rollout across European markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead the transition from R&D to full-scale production in Europe
- Oversee supply chain localization and optimization
- Manage commercial rollout and go-to-market operations
- Build and lead the operations team across EU facilities
- Ensure production quality and efficiency targets are met
- Coordinate with sales, product, and finance teams
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in operations leadership
- Background in biotech manufacturing or agritech operations
- Experience scaling startups from pilot to production
- Strong understanding of EU regulatory environment
- Fluent in English; Italian is a plus
- Willingness to travel across EU markets
Nice to Have
- Experience with SmartStart or similar EU startup programs
- Network in European agritech/food industry
- MBA or equivalent business education
